Pediatric Imaging - McMaster University (MUMC)
The Pediatric Fellowship at McMaster University Medical Centre is a one- year clinical fellowship program in General Pediatric Radiology. The program will provide training in different imaging modalities (Plain Radiographs, Ultrasound, MRI, CT and Fluoroscopy-guided GI/GU procedures) and will include inpatient studies from the Pediatric and surgical wards and from the neonatal and Pediatric intensive care units as well as outpatient and emergency room examinations. The Fellowship Curriculum will cover all aspects of Pediatric Radiology including body, MSK and Neuroimaging. Fellows are trained and evaluated in adherence to CanMEDS framework standards.
Fellows will participate in different multidisciplinary teaching and clinical rounds and are expected to contribute to teaching of radiology residents and medical students. The candidate is encouraged to present at national and international scientific meetings and is expected to produce at least one research project by the completion of his/her fellowship year. Fellows will be granted approximately one academic day per week for this purpose. They will cover approximately one week of call in every five weeks.
