Kevin Dunn is an assistant professor and associate chair, undergraduate, in the Department of Chemical Engineering. He focuses on teaching students the foundations of chemical engineering. With a strong interest in teaching innovation, he investigates the use of software and novel teaching techniques in engineering education.

Dunn teaches in the areas of engineering experimental design and analysis, engineering economics, optimization and statistics.  He lead the development of McMaster University's first massive open online course (or MOOC) on the topic of "Expermentation for Improvement" which has attracted more than 12,000 students enrolled. It has been called one of the best MOOCs on Coursera . He is keenly interested in researching and developing effective teaching methods and educational technologies.
