Welcome to Rheumatology
Welcome to the Division of Rheumatology at McMaster University. The Division of Rheumatology is engaged in many diverse clinical and research activities. The Division is at the forefront of clinical research especially in the spheres of Osteoporosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. There is also a gaining experience in the realm of Scleroderma and Vasculitis, with devoted clinics in all of these disease states.
The Division of Rheumatology is well represented in all of the four hospitals in the City of Hamilton and patients receive world-class care at all of these facilities. The Division of Rheumatology has partnered with the Arthritis Society of Canada in a special pilot project in Hamilton for the multidisciplinary approach to the advancement of education, physical and occupational therapy in Rheumatoid Arthritis
Included in this is a commitment to education of future practicing physicians at all levels and includes training at the undergraduate level and postgraduate level of Internal Medicine and as well as Rheumatology Residents at the PGY4 and PGY5 level.
