Education and Professional Standing

Dr. Jill Rudkowski obtained her MD from the University of Calgary in 1996. She trained in Internal Medicine, Respirology, and Critical Care at McGill University after which she completed a Post-doctoral Fellowship with Dr. Barrett Rollins at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard University.

Dr. Rudkowski joined McMaster University in 2007.  She is the Director of the Medical-Step Down/CCU at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.  She is active clinically in both General Internal Medicine and Critical Care.  Her main role is that of a Clinician Educator.  She was the Department of Medicine Undergraduate Program Director from 2012-2017.  She is currently the Chair of Clerkship and Concept Integration and Review as well as the Director of Student Advising for the DeGroote School of Medicine. 

Research Interests

Dr. Rudkowski’s research interests include outcomes of survivors of critical illness, quality improvement of medical and critical care inpatient care, and end-of-life decision-making.
