Division of Critical Care

The Division of Critical Care comprises 14 full- or part-time members, providing clinical care for patients at all 4 acute care sites in Hamilton:
St. Joseph's Hospital, McMaster University Medical Centre, Hamilton General Hospital, and the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre.

The Division is dedicated to world class research,

education and continuous quality improvement.

Our Division has an active research programme that supports both basic science and clinical trials research. We are actively involved in the Canadian Critical Care Trials Group, Canadian Intensive Care Foundation, and the Toronto Critical Care Medicine Symposium.

Dr. Simon Oczkowski has received the Canadian Critical Care Trials Group (CCCTG) Research Fellowship Award, with matched funding by the Division of Critical Care, McMaster University.

The Fellowship Award program provides support for highly qualified candidates in the areas of critical care that are relevant to the CCCTG at the post-PhD degree or the post-health professional degree stages to add to their experience by engaging in health research in Canada.
