A McMaster professor’s exceptional dedication to victim services is being recognized by the Attorney General.

Dr. Mohit Bhandari, professor of orthopedic surgery, was awarded the Attorney General’s Victim Services Award of Distinction at Queen’s Park Thursday. He has been an outspoken advocate for victims of domestic violence, and has spearheaded extensive research on intimate partner violence (IPV).

Bhandari is the honorary chair of the Interval House of Hamilton's Male Leadership Forum to End Violence Against Women and Gender-Based Violence Committee. Under his leadership, the committee is examining the reality of intimate partner violence and exploring how they can help create system-wide change.
