MacART launches a new website for autism research

Published: September 22, 2016

The McMaster Autism Research Team (MacART) has launched a user-friendly website designed to inform, educate and raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The website will act as a collaborative hub where researchers, clinicians, and key stakeholders—parents, caregivers, educators, policymakers, and those with ASD—can connect and access credible research and resources.

“The MacART website provides a trusted space for knowledge exchange and communication between our researchers, clinicians, and autism stakeholders,” said Dr. Stelios Georgiades, founder and co-director of MacART. “It reflects, in a transparent way, the collaborative process of advancing autism care through meaningful research.”

MacART, a partnership between McMaster Children’s Hospital, Hamilton Health Sciences and McMaster University, aims to bridge the research-to-practice gap in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
