Infectious Diseases Residency Program

Residency Training

Microscopy of sputum samples can help differentiate oropharyngeal
contamination from true lower respiratory specimens.

The Infectious Diseases Residency Training Programme at McMaster University aims to produce outstanding academic and clinical specialists in infectious diseases. We only accept the best residents, we provide excellent quality clinical and laboratory training, and we provide many opportunities for post-residency training.

Our graduates have assumed leadership positions throughout Ontario, and many have also taken advantage of the opportunity to train in medical microbiology.
