We are pleased to announce the NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards Winter 2018 Competition, available this year for students who negotiate to work with a supervisor who is an NSERC grant holder in the Faculty of Health Sciences (please refer to the below list of Health Sciences Faculty who are current NSERC grant holders).

Completed applications must be received by the Health Research Services Office (HSC-3H9) no later than MONDAY DECEMBER 18 at 4:00 pm (late applications will not be considered). Completed applications must include the following:

1. Signature Page including the signatures of:

  • Student (applicant)
  • Supervisor
  • Department Chair

2. FORM 202 Part I

3. FORM 202 Part II

4. Applicant's Transcript (official transcript required if selected from the internal competition) *Please see Guidance Document for Transcript presentation specifications*


Please note: applicants may also approach a supervisor outside of the Faculty of Health Sciences, but the applicant must comply with the internal deadline date for the supervisor's Department and the applicant must submit their application and transcript to them for review and consideration.

Please note: if the applicant decides to approach a supervisor at another University, they must submit their completed application to the host university and it is at their discretion whether to accept candidates from another University. Please ensure that you comply with the host institution's application deadline date.
