Arshpreet Bedi
Bedi Arshpreet, PT
I received my Bachelors in Health Studies & Gerontology from McMaster University in 2015. I began my Masters in Public Health part-time as I had been simultaneously working full-time as a program coordinator in an Adult Day Program for senior services. In addition to this experience, I dedicated time to working with vulnerable homeless seniors in Hamilton. For the future, my research interests surround the aging population, access to care and challenges associated with health care delivery. I have completed qualitative research in my undergraduate thesis in managing multiple chronic conditions within the School of Nursing at McMaster University. My thesis built upon my work experience in dealing with inaccessible healthcare services and has allowed me to evaluate and critically reflect on issues regarding senior health care in Canada. The Masters of Public Health compliments my work and research experience. This degree has provided the accurate theory and applications I will require as an effective public health professional.

I am currently enrolled in The Master of Public Health Program at McMaster University as a part-time student while continuing to work full-time for the City of Hamilton, Public Health Services. As a Public Health Inspector, I have had the opportunity to be part of a team of professionals, solving recreational and drinking water issues, perform food inspections, tobacco enforcement, infection control, air quality monitoring and investigating housing complaints in the City of Hamilton.
