Announcing the NEW Master of Public Health Program



The Department Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact (HEI) is pleased to offer the Master of Public Health (MPH) graduate program. The MPH program builds on HEI's expertise in health policy analysis and research within a public health framework.

The program offers a new suite of research skills, knowledge and ready-to-apply practical experience to MPH graduates.

The MPH program mobilizes the department's strengths in:

  • Population health,
  • Epidemiology,
  • Health research methodology,
  • Health policy analysis,
  • Health services management, and
  • Knowledge translation.


Program Highlights

The Master of Public Health program features:

  • A focus on general public health issues.
  • Additional areas of focus on: public health policy & health management, public health research methods, and environmental health.
  • Core and elective courses.
  • A thesis-based or 4 month practicum-based (with a capstone paper) program.
  • Full-time or part-time registration.
  • A blend of classroom and optional online course delivery in the future.
  • Completion in 16-24 months (full-time) or four years (part-time).
