Welcome from Division Head

Welcome to the Division of Urology at McMaster University. I hope that our new and improved website will better acquaint you with our programs and the clinical services we offer. I am pleased to announce that our seven year old residency program, approved by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, has graduated four successful candidates and now has three positions each year in the CARMS match.

Our division continues to be recognized as a leader in the development of laparoscopic surgery in Canada and we have published extensively in this area. Our labs at St. Joseph’s Healthcare and the Juravinski Cancer Centre are actively involved in basic science research in the areas of kidney and prostate cancer. Our clinical trial work includes research in education, laser treatment of benign prostate hypertrophy, kidney and prostate cancer.
