IF YOU SHARE BIOLOGICAL MATERIAL - If you have brought in biological material under an import permit you may need to get additional approval BEFORE you transfer it to another location.

Your Biosafety training must be updated each year. Since 2009, the update can be done through this web site. You should only complete the update if you have already successfully completed initial Biosafety training.

If you are updating your Laboratory or Clinical WHMIS and Fire Safety training visit the WHMIS/Fire Update page.

Please review and complete the Biosecurity Plan Information and maintain within your lab for annual audit. This information must also be handed into the FHS Safety Office in room 1J11 of the Health Sciences Center. If you cannot get to the office you can fax the information to 905-528-8539.

NOTE: If you have not already done so, you must complete the "Good Culture Practices", "Misidentification and Contamination" and the "Human Pathogens and Toxins Act" quizzes before completing the 2012 update. Please refer to the Biosafety Training page for the information.

We will update your training records after successful completion of the quizzes.
