Congratulations to Dr. Brad Petrisor who has been awarded the 2018 Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Program Director of the Year Award. This award recognizes program directors who have demonstrated a commitment to enhancing residency education as evidenced by innovation and impact beyond his/her program. Dr Petrisor, who has been the program director of the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program since 2010, has recently stepped down from the position. We applaud Brad and thank him for his dedication to PGME.

The postgraduate medical education programs at McMaster University provides two routes to certification, either through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or The College of Family Physicians of Canada.

In addition to the affiliated teaching hospitals listed, McMaster University has wide access to an extensive number of additional training sites, including rural and community settings in both northern and southern Ontario. This spectrum of resources, along with the size of the programs at McMaster, allow programs to tailor your residency program to meet your needs.
