Vicky Breakey
Dr. Breakey received her medical degree from the University of Calgary Medical School in Calgary, Alberta. She completed her Pediatric residency training and Fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario. Dr. Breakey recently completed her Master of Education in Theory and Policy Studies-Health Professional Stream at the Ontario Institute of Studies in education at the University of Toronto. Dr. Breakey has worked as a locum in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Children's Hospital of Western Ontario as well as working as a clinical associate in Pediatric Hematology at the Hospital for Sick Children.
In addition to her educational and clinical skills, Dr. Breakey is also the author and contributor to many books/chapters on various pediatric hematology/oncology conditions. Dr. Breakey's clinical focus is in hematology. Her research involves development and testing of an online self-management program for teens with haemophilia to prepare them for transition.
