Dr. Sandi Seigel is an Associate Clinical Professor in the General Pediatrics Division in the Department of Pediatrics. Since 2006, she has served as the deputy chief of general pediatrics.
Dr. Seigel completed her medical school training at the University of Toronto in 1986. She completed her pediatric residency at McMaster in 1990 and has been a member of the faculty since then.
Dr. Seigel’s interests are in pediatric HIV and she currently works as the pediatrician in the refuge clinic seeing HIV positive children and infants of HIV positive mothers. Through the refugee clinic, Dr. Seigel is also involved in the care of new immigrant and refugee children. She also has an interest in child welfare issues and has served as a member of the regional child welfare committee since 1999 and is a member of the Child Advocacy and Assessment team.
In addition she continues to have interest in the care of children with general pediatric concerns both in the hospital and outpatient setting, as well as in the level 2 neonatal care and in the care of infants with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome at St. Joseph’s Healthcare.
