Sandeep Raha, MSc. PhD.
Dr. Raha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University. He obtained his PhD. from the University of Toronto in the field of Biochemistry and trained at the Hospital for Sick Children. He applied his research training in the biotech sector where he developed technologies designed to detect DNA mutations. His research focuses on understanding cellular communication. Currently, he is interested in understanding how dysfunctional mitochondria, the part of our cells that produce energy, communicate cellular distress in overweight and aging individuals.
