Dr. Eric Koelink is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Koelink began his undergraduate education at Cornell University in New York where he earned a BA in English Literature. After graduating, he switched his focus to medicine and travelled to Australia to earn his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Flinders University Medical School in Adelaide. His post-graduate medical education brought him back to North America where he completed his pediatric residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
In 2013, supported by a professional development grant from the RCPSC, an interest in sports medicine led him to the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic in London, Ontario for a fellowship in that field. While in London, he was also the chief fellow in pediatric emergency medicine at London Children’s Hospital.
In addition to clinical responsibilities at McMaster Children’s Hospital, Dr. Koelink is also involved in supporting education of McMaster trainees through supervision and teaching.
