Dr. Bosco Paes is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University. Dr. Paes also holds conjoined positions in the Department of Family Medicine and the Clinical Health Sciences (Nursing) Graduate Program at McMaster University. He is actively involved in pediatric postgraduate education and is responsible for the conduct of the Royal College Examinations for residents in the core pediatric residency program.
Dr. Paes is a key player in the educational activities of health care professionals in the Central West Region of Ontario, and organizes updates and refresher courses annually. He provides consultations on perinatal care and pediatrics to family practitioners, pediatricians, and nursing staff in the Central West Region of Ontario.
Dr. Paes is the co-founder and medical director of the Clinical Nurse Specialist/Neonatal Practitioner Program in Canada, which has been recognized nationally and internationally, for its accomplishments.
Dr. Paes' research interests focus on hematology, nutrition and respiratory syncytial virus prevention and epidemiology.
