Dr. Adam Fleming is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology-Oncology. Dr. Fleming earned his undergraduate degree in chemical/biomedical engineering at McMaster University. He completed his Master’s of biomedical engineering and MD at the University of Toronto, and then headed to the west coast for his pediatric training and a Hematology-Oncology fellowship at BC Children’s Hospital. He developed a particular interest in childhood brain tumours, which led him to pursue sub-specialty training in Pediatric Neuro-oncology at Harvard University (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute / Boston Children’s Hospital).
Dr. Fleming was recruited to McGill University in 2011, and spent three years on staff at the Montreal Children’s Hospital leading the Pediatric Neuro-oncology Clinic. He was also the Program Director for the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology training program, and has been the site principal investigator for several industry and government-sponsored clinical trials in the field of brain tumour research.
