Welcome Message from Academic Division Head

Welcome to the Division of Pediatric General Surgery at McMaster University.

I hope that our improved website will better acquaint you with our academic program and the clinical services we offer at McMaster Children’s Hospital. Our division continues to be recognized as a leader in pediatric laparoscopic surgery and our experience in congenital chest wall surgery is one of the largest in Canada.

We have provided fellowship training for the past tens years and I am pleased to announce that in 2008 we sought and obtained approval by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons for our Pediatric General Surgery fellowship training program.

The Division of Pediatric General Surgery research programs are housed in the McMaster Pediatric Surgery Research Collaborative (MPSRC). MPSRC conducts, translates and disseminates clinical surgical research, which focuses on advancing evidence-based surgical care for children.
