Interests
Research Focus
Dr. Rao’s research focus is related to child abuse and interpretation of injuries, differentiating between accidental and non-accidental injuries in children under five. She is also involved in ongoing research on incidents of retinal hemorrhages and its significance.
Academic Interests
Dr. Rao teaches pathology and forensic pathology to McMaster University residents and medical students. She also supervises third-year research projects for students in the Forensic Science Program at the University of Toronto, Mississauga.
