Dr. Delaney’s research interests are collaborative in nature and include select projects within animal research. She is interested in models of dysmeylination and spinal cord trauma (regeneration). Dr. Delaney is also interested in the development of animal models of human disease and laboratory animal science. As well, she is the Clinical Veterinarian for McMaster University and all associated animal facilities.
Dr. Delaney is involved in the clinical care of all research animals on campus and at satellite facilities. She runs eleven facilities, providing care to approximately 25 000 animals.
Dr. Delaney plays a major role in educating Veterinarians and Laboratory Animal Health Technicians. She runs the training program for eleven facilities, educating approximately 12-15 000 students each year in specific animal training courses.
