Research and Clinical Focus

Dr. Aziz’s current research focus encompasses breast pathology, with a sub classification of locally advanced breast cancer and correlation with response to new adjuvant chemotherapy. 

His clinical focus surrounds diagnostic surgical pathology and the use of immunohistochemistry in diagnostic pathology. 

Academic Interests

Dr. Aziz is also actively involved in teaching at McMaster University, both at the Undergraduate and Post-Graduate levels of the MD Program.  He is the MD Program Curriculum Coordinator for Medical Foundation 4.  Dr. Aziz is also affiliated with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada  where he sits on the Member Specialty Committee for general pathology.  He is also a Nucleus Member for general pathology (RCPSC).
