The baccalaureate program in midwifery was announced
by the Ontario Government in December, 1992. The
first class was admitted in August, 1993.
The program is jointly offered by Laurentian
University, McMaster University and Ryerson University
and will lead to the degree Bachelor of Health
Sciences (B.H.Sc.) in Midwifery. The program sets
out a four-year timetable of full-time study which
is offered at McMaster (English) and Laurentian
(English and French) Universities.
Ryerson University offers the program on a part-time
study basis.
