Education and Professional Standing

  • Dr. Sternbach is a Senior Hematologist/Oncologist at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
  • She has been actively involved in teaching, supervising and tutoring medical students for over 20 years.  In 2007 and 2008 she both served as an OSCE examiner and put together exam questions.  Additionally Dr. Sternbach has served as an Interviewer of McMaster potential medical students and has developed teaching tools used by Residents and Fellows.
  • Her current interest resides in Myelodysplasias and their incidence, morphology, genetics, biology and evolution.  She has participated in numerous studies and clinical trials throughout her career.
