Biography

Mr. Andrew McFarlane is Technical Specialist of Molecular Hematology with the Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program and a Lecturer with the Department of Medicine, McMaster University. Andrew currently serves as a member of the McMaster University Hematology Resident Training committee, co-supervising the Red Cell Disorders rotation. He is a member of the Canadian National Hemoglobinopathy Group. Andrew has presented several scientific abstracts at national and international conferences, participated in published research projects, as well as developed and collaborated on several workshops for healthcare professionals.

Research Interests

Mr. McFarlane has an extensive background and a keen interest in the laboratory investigation of hemoglobinopathy, red cell disorders and the molecular diagnosis for other hematological disorders.
