Education and Professional Standing

Dr Noel Chan graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He underwent training in Internal Medicine in the United Kingdom and hematology training in Melbourne. Subsequently, he completed a research fellowship in Thrombosis and Vascular Medicine at McMaster University.

Current Academic Role

He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology and Thromboembolism and an Investigator based in TaARI.

Clinical Interest

He is a medical staff member at Hamilton Health Sciences, and his clinical practice includes consultative hematology and thrombosis.

Research Interest

He is interested in optimizing the benefit of antithrombotic agents by improving their efficacy and safety. In particular, his research focuses on understanding the determinants of variable response to antiplatelet agents and anticoagulants to optimize health outcome.
