Educational and Professional Standing

Dr. Zandi Riahi received his medical degree at McMaster University in 2012, completed his Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Toronto.  He obtained his Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certification (FRCPC) in General Internal Medicine in 2016 and he completed additional training with the Centre for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (C-QuIPS) at the University of Toronto.

He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor (Part Time) with McMaster University and a staff physician with the Niagara Health System on the Clinical Teaching Units at the St. Catharines General Hospital.

Academic Interests

Dr. Zandi Riahi has special interests in medical education, quality improvement, and integrating research to improve front-line clinical processes. He is currently involved in projects enhancing clinical efficiency in General Internal Medicine outpatient clinics, best practices in pre-operative medical consultation and integrating quality improvement theory into medical education.
