Academic Interests

Dr. Guyatt‘s areas of interest include: the dissemination of concepts of evidence-based medicine to health workers and health-care consumers; the measurement of health-related quality of life; clinical trials methodology; overview methodology; and medical decision-making. Dr. Guyatt has been a leading exponent of evidence-based approaches to clinical practice, having coined the term “evidence-based medicine” in 1990.
