Academic Standing
Dr. Richard Rossman attended the University of Toronto graduating with a BSc (1966) before completing his MD in 1970; he completed his postgraduate studies and subspecialty training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at McMaster University and University of Toronto, receiving his FRCP(C) in 1976.
Dr. Rossman has served as Section Chairman for Gastroenterology for the Ontario Medical Association, a member of the Executive of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology and is a Founding Member of the Ontario Association of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Rossman is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine and a community gastroenterologist with continuing responsibilities for teaching and supervision of internal medicine and gastroenterology residents and clinical interests in irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer screening. He has privileges at Hamilton Health Sciences and the West Haldimand Hospital and has participated in several clinical trials.
