- Mutualism between mammalian hosts and commensal intestinal bacteria, particularly with respect to the IgA response.
- Mechanisms of IgA class switch recombination.
- Genomic plasticity of the commensal flora as a result of intestinal immune pressure (inflammatory bowel diseases)
