Academic Biography
Dr. Eric Greenwald received his HBSc in Human Biology from the University of Toronto in 1997. He went on to complete a Master’s of Science in Pharmacology at the University of Toronto in 1998. He spent the next four years in Kingston, Ontario at Queen’s University for his undergraduate medical education. Both his Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology residencies were completed at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology in 2008.
Dr. Greenwald’s main interest is in medical education and he is currently enrolled in the Master Teacher Program through the University Of Toronto. He is the educational co-ordinator for the Division of Gastroenterology and holds a number of positions within the Michael G. Degroote School of Medicine including: planner for Medical Foundations 2, Problem-Based Learning tutor and lecturer.
