Research Interests

Dr. Sebaldt's research pursuits include:

  1. designing and performing observational and interventional studies focused on evaluating and improving appropriate drug prescribing, increasing preventive care services delivery and reducing care gaps measured against evidence-based best practice in both primary care and specialist settings, and
  2. designing and implementing novel and scalable information technology-based solutions to improve clinical data capture from the point of routine clinical care, thereby enhancing the value and validity of broadly-based prospective longitudinal clinical data collection programs for a variety of scientific purposes.

The research team he leads at Clinforma serves as the project and data management centre for large-scale observational and interventional studies in therapeutic areas including osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, psychiatry, venous thrombo-embolism, gastroenterology, dermatology, respirology, dementia, geriatric pharmacology, vaccination and cancer screening.
