Division of Cardiology

The Division of Cardiology is active at four hospital sites in Hamilton where cardiologists provide care, including specialty services, through the Heart Investigation Unit, the Arrhythmia Service, the Heart Function Clinic and the Vascular Medicine Clinic.

In addition, the Adult Congential Cardiac Clinic provides services to patients with complex cardiac issues and to patients with high-risk

pregnancy due to heart disease.

The Cardiology Division continues a leading role in cardiovascular research. It is associated closely with the Population Health Research Institute. Major research programs within the division include clinical trials, epidemiology and laboratory-based studies on the major factors affecting cardiovascular health.

The 11th Arnold L. Johnson Memorial Lectureship and a Research Seminar will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017 in the PHRI Auditorium. Our guest speaker this year is Professor Sir Rory Collins.
