Six questions. Two minutes. One inclusive community.

On Jan. 27, McMaster University launched its new employment equity census and is asking all employees to fill in a census questionnaire. It may be found on the Mosaic system or at the Employment Equity Census website.

The goal of employment equity is to create an inclusive workplace environment for all staff and faculty by identifying and removing barriers in employment practices.

The first step in understanding McMaster's current workforce is to conduct an employment equity census.  While completion of the census is voluntary, all faculty and staff are encouraged to participate.

All staff and faculty, except temporary/casual staff and employees of McMaster affiliates and faculty considered "other appointments (SPS A4)", are asked to respond to the census.

A network of 15 Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) employees, deemed census ambassadors, has agreed to be available to the FHS community to respond to questions.

Employees are also encouraged to contact their FHS human resources representative or department administrator with any questions they may have.
