Andrew McArthur, an associate professor of biochemistry and biomedical science, has been selected as one of McMaster's 2015/2016 Learning Portfolio fellows.

Six instructors, one for each Faculty, have been chosen for the fellowships to research and support the implementation and impact of McMaster University's Learning Portfolio. The fellowships are supported by Forward with Integrity funding.

The fellows have each developed research proposals that study the utility and effectiveness of the portfolio. They will also be advocates for sharing best practices to support the use of the portfolio within the Faculties and will participate as members of the Learning Portfolio Advisory Group.

McArthur's research project will see the translation of information in the learning portfolios into actionable metrics for undergraduate curriculum and program development to predict career outcomes, infer successful learning experiences and identify influential course-work and experience.
