Trainee takes award for publication

A researcher in the lab of professor Ray Truant of biochemistry and biomedical sciences has won a prize for exceptional trainee-conducted research.

Nicholas Stephane Caron was one of three finalists for the Lap-Chee Tsui Publication Award from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research Institute of Genetics for 2013.

His paper, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, was on an aspect of huntingtin disease. His research used new technology developed in the McMaster Biophotonics Facility.
