Haynes awarded Medal for Excellence

Brian Haynes, a professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics

Professor Brian Haynes has been recognized for his important contributions in medical information research, advancing evidence-based clinical medicine in Canada and world-wide, and his contributions to the systematic review of the impacts of information systems.

Haynes, a professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, is the recipient of the 2010 Roger A. Côté  Medal for Excellence in Health Informatics which is awarded annually by the National Institutes of Health Informatics (NIHI).

Dominic Covvey, president of NIHI said: "With this award, NIHI recognizes Canadians who have made contributions to health informatics of global impact.  The Côté Medal acknowledges the highest level of achievement in our field. Dr. Haynes epitomizes all of our criteria."
