Research Focus

  • Developing bioinformatics solutions for handling "big data" being generated from technologies such as DNA sequencing, large clinical and biological datasets resulting from global, longitudinal population health studies, in the areas of aging, allergy, gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases, infectious diseases and cardia-metabolic diseases
  • Collaborating on a program in Integrated Health Biosystems, the aim of which will be to bridge the existing gulf between data-intensive areas of biomedical research and healthcare as it relates to a broad category of diseases, including, respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases, allergy, infectious diseases and cardiovascular and metabolic diseases
