I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Khalid Azzam as Assistant Dean, Continuing Health Sciences Education. Dr. Azzam is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine in the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University. He is currently the associate clinical teaching unit (CTU) director for the Internal Medicine Program at the Hamilton General Hospital as well as director of simulation for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. He coordinates the internal medicine clerkship as site coordinator for the Hamilton General Hospital.

Dr. Azzam brings experience in continuing education, particularly in the area of simulation based training. He was recently awarded the Watson Buchanan AFP Internal Career Clinician Education Award with a grant to support curriculum development in simulation-based training for the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program.
