HRM courses are in high-demand and submitting a complete OVGS or post-degree application does not guarantee admission into an HRM course. There are also no guaranteed spaces for in-course HRM students in HRM 771, HRM 772, HRM 773 & HRM 774.
Registration for HRM 771, HRM 772, HRM 773 & HRM 774 is by permission of the
Distance Education Coordinator
.

HRM Student Applicant

There are no guaranteed spaces for in-course HRM students in HRM 771, HRM 772, HRM 773 and HRM 774.

Registration for HRM 771, HRM 772, HRM 773 & HRM 774 is by permission of the Distance Education Coordinator.

HRM students who obtain permission of the Distance Education Coordinator should forward the permission to Cassandra Weimann, [cweima@mcmaster.ca] who can adjust SOLAR, so the student can register on MUGSI, (assuming a space is available).

OVGS Applicant

An Ontario Visiting Graduate Student is a student who is registered in a graduate program in Ontario. The [OVGS] program allows already registered Ontario graduate students the opportunity to complete courses at another Ontario University without additional admissions processes.

Interested OVGS applicants will need to complete an OVGS application to obtain permission from their home institution and McMaster University must also approve the request. The HRM Program suggests interested OVGS applicants contact the School of Graduate Studies at their home institution as soon as possible, as it can take some time to obtain the necessary permissions.

We encourage potential OVGS applicants to start the application process as soon as possible (ideally one term, before the course is offered). Registration for the online HRM courses occurs on a first-come first-serve basis and only complete (including permissions) applications are processed.

Post-degree Applicant

A Post-degree student is one who has not been admitted to a graduate degree or diploma program at McMaster University but who holds a university degree and has been given permission to take a specific graduate course. Permission to take a course as a post-degree student requires the approval of the course instructor, the Assistant Dean – HRM and the School of Graduate Studies. An application is required for each course.

Please refer to the School of Graduate Studies Calendar, Section 2.1.5 for additional information: http://graduate.mcmaster.ca/graduate-calendar
