We are pleased to announce the NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards Summer 2018 Competition, available this year for students who negotiate to work with a supervisor who is an NSERC grant holder in the Faculty of Health Sciences (please refer to the below list of Health Sciences Faculty who are current NSERC grant holders).

NSERC USRA applications, including REQUIRED forms 202 Part I and 202 Part II, can be found by logging in to NSERC's e-Console
Completed applications must be received by the Health Research Services Office (HSC-3H9) no later than FRIDAY, February 16, 2018 at 4:00 pm (late applications will not be considered). Completed applications must include the following:
1. Signature Page including the signatures of:
- Student (applicant)
- Department Chair
2. FORM 202 Part I
3. FORM 202 Part II
4. Applicant's Transcript

Please note: students applying for any NSERC USRA should NOT be enrolled in classes for the 16-week tenure of the award. Please also note that an NSERC USRA student will be paid a minimum of $7,840 for the 16-week term commensurate with Ontario's minimum wage. $4,500 of this is reimbursed by NSERC. (January 1, 2018)
Please note: applicants may also approach a supervisor outside of the Faculty of Health Sciences, but the applicant must comply with the internal deadline date for the supervisor's Department and the applicant must submit their application and transcript to them for review and consideration.
Please note: if the applicant decides to approach a supervisor at another University, they must submit their completed application to the host university and it is at their discretion whether to accept candidates from another University. Please ensure that you comply with the host institution's application deadline date.
