Albert Concepcion is currently working as a consultant in the global health field. His work involves grant management, principal recipient management, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
Recently, he completed a six-year assignment with the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC), where he managed two large projects funded by the Global Fund that focused on HIV and STI, and Malaria.
As a senior Grant Coordinator, he was responsible for managing the Fund’s multi-country portfolio of around $30 million over six years.
In between this work, from 2012-2013, he completed the MSc in Global Health at McMaster.
After finishing his contract with SPC in December 2014, he opted not to extend and is currently freelancing and working as a consultant. He is still connected with SPC on a consulting basis, and has just joined the Grant Management Solutions - Technical Assistance, Inc. to provide technical support to countries that access Global Fund financing.
Concepcion recently returned from Kenya, where he completed a consultants' training-orientation, with a focus on M&E.
