Education and Professional Standing

Dr. Sherbino is an emergency physician and trauma team leader in Hamilton. Jonathan also serves as the Director of Continuing Professional Education for the Division of Emergency Medicine. At a national level, he is a Clinician-Educator with The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. He is the Associate Editor – Education for the Canadian Journal of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Sherbino’s educational research focuses on cognitive reasoning.

Research Interests

Dr. Sherbino’s research and writing focuses on: clinical decision-making and cognitive error; knowledge translation of research to front-line clinicians; and systematic educational design.
