GRADUATING CLASS OF 2012
CY@Mac — McMaster Children and Youth University
Welcome to the McMaster Children and Youth University!
University experience is starting a few years early for young people who sign up for the new McMaster Children & Youth University program.
Our program of free, monthly Saturday-morning lectures is aimed at students between 8 and 12 years old with the goal of educating them on appealing topics, while providing them a sneak peek into the university environment. This will help pose the question: Are you ready?
Our lectures range in topics from medical to social sciences, history, engineering and business.
This initiative is graciously sponsored by:
McMaster University's -Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Health Sciences, Alumni Office, Faculty of Science and the Office of the President.

The McMaster Children and Youth University was honored to have 73 young minds graduate from our initial 2011/2012 session.
Our inaugural year was an overwhelming success. Registration for all five events of our pilot program was over 175 children and youth per session. Those who attended at least 4 of the 5 lectures, were awarded graduate status and received a graduation diploma.
We are currently working on finalizing our 2012/2013 lecture sessions and expect registration to open in August 2012.
- If you or your child has a topic of interest that you would like to hear more about, please feel free to email us at cymac@mcmaster.ca
We look forward to another successful academic year for the McMaster Children and Youth University; helping kids “See Why” at Mac (CY@Mac). Please come and join us!
Due to overwhelming response and to ease the registration for our parents/guardian’s, we are moving to a web-based registration system for our upcoming events. Please check back regularly for updates.
