Get Accredited

The CHSE Program cannot accredit a program retroactively. We require 30 days or more to review your application.

Continuing Education, Faculty of Health Sciences, is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools and, by reciprocal agreement, the Accreditation Council for CME (ACCME) in the United States. Our CE Office must operate under the guidelines of those bodies. The accreditation guidelines require that the CE Office be involved in the planning of all accredited programs.

Our goal is to provide you with the support you need, so your program can be accredited with the least hassle.

Effective January 1st, 2007, our policy has changed to include the following:

We require an electronic copy (in Excel format) of your full registrant / attendee list with names, addresses, professional designation with specialty provided.  A paper copy of the final attendee list with signatures should be mailed to our office no later than four (4) weeks after your event.  This registration information will be retained by the Continuing Health  Sciences Education Program for audit purposes and in compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).  The fee for the accreditation application review is $300 and an additional fee of $15 per event registrant / attendee if the lists are provided in electronic format otherwise the fee is $25 per event registrant / attendee, payable to McMaster University.
