Residents in Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) specialty or subspecialty programs are eligible to apply. Entry is possible during core or subspecialty residency training, or within 6 months of completing a RCPSC residency program. Potential trainees are encouraged to view our presentation on CIP training at McMaster and to consult the CI Program Handbook.
Trainees considering the CIP option should contact the CI Program early, and well in advance of their anticipated research years, to ensure optimal guidance and mentorship in integrating their clinical and research training plans. McMaster's CI Program has 6 one-year funded positions that are allocated by competition. Please consult the CI Program Handbook, and the RCPSC CIP training objective documents for additional information about CIP training at McMaster University and sources of funding.
