Academic Interests

Dr Sabri is a paediatric ophthalmologist and strabismologist. He is the principal investigator of several national, regional and local clinical studies and has obtained research funding from many organisations including CIHR, PSI, HAHSO, McMaster and MSA. To date he has been awarded over $800,000 in research funding. He is the founder and director of the McMaster Paediatric Eye Research Group (McPERG). Dr. Sabri is passionate in conducting high-quality research that is clinically relevant and applicable to all areas of paediatric eye disease. His research interests include, but are not limited to early childhood vision screening and providing a level playing field so that no child is disadvantaged by circumstance.
