The Online Application is now open for the January 2018 Term.

Diploma Completion is two years from the time of enrollment.

 

If you only wish to complete one course, you may apply as a Post Degree Student. (please note this stream is for one course only, you would have to re-apply if you wish to complete an additional course.)

 


September 2017 is the last registration term for students to request to use transfer credits from the Post Professional Program towards their Graduate Diploma.  There will be no application of transfer credits after September 2017.

Step 1 - Apply (please read instructions first)
Save as you go along and upload all required documents as a pdf before you submit your application.

Sept 2 - Submit your application. Once all completed and all documents have been uploaded, submit!

NOTICE:

Please be sure to include details such as error messages and the name of the program to which you are applying. Screen shots are helpful. 

 

Step 3 - When you receive your letter of offer, (applications must be fully completed and all transcripts must be received by the department in order to receive a letter of offer) You need then to ACCEPT your offer before you can enroll in courses.

Step 4 - Enroll and Registration. You then need to enroll and select your courses.

  Diploma students - you must select a place holder course SGS 711 if you are not taking a course in one of the terms.

INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLY FOR DIPLOMA STUDENTS

Once you have accessed the online application, under Diploma click on Clinical Behavioural Sciences from the drop down menu.

Please note, the standard $100 graduate studies application fee is required — payable by cheque or online through the application tool.

Required Documents

The following items are required before your online application will be considered complete. These documents should be sent to the CBS Program Office as noted below.

  1. One official transcript of academic work completed to date, sent directly from the issuing institution. If the final transcript does not show that a completed degree has been conferred, an official copy of your diploma is also required. You may upload your transcript so that your GPA can be calculated, but please note, all post secondary original sealed transcripts must be mailed in paper form to our office, address below.

  2. Two references, (form is available online), references should be academic for recent graduates. Clinical references will be accepted for those students who have been in the work force for many years.

  3. McMaster University uses the Electronic Referencing System. By entering the email address of your referee through the online application, the system will automatically send an e-Reference request on your behalf, the system will provide them with a link to where they upload your reference letter/form directly into the system.

  4. If English is not your native language, an official copy of your TOEFL score, or other evidence of competency in English. A minimum TOEFL (iBT) score of 80 (550 on the paper-based TOEFL test or 213 on the computer-based TOEFL test) is needed for the Faculty of Engineering, and a minimum of 92 (580 or 237) for all other Faculties. Some departments may require higher scores.
  5. CV or Resume
  6. Statement of interest in pursuing graduate studies.
  7. Proof of Active Registration in a Professional Association (If applicable)
